America Learns and Jumpstart invite you to share
The Story of
Ferdinand with the children you work with on
September 20, 2007
and be part of a nationwide movement connecting
children and adults in the shared learning experiences all
children need to be successful in school and in life!
Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is a national campaign designed to encourage hundreds of
thousands of children and adults from across the country to
read the same book on the same day. The goal of Jumpstart’s
Read for the Record campaign is to raise public awareness
about significant disparities in early education.
Jumpstart
has created tools on the campaign website’s
Events Page to help educators, librarians and parents
find or create events in their community. With the
Event Finder/Builder, you can create your own event and
search for events near you on September 20. The
Build-an-Event Kit provides event planners with all the
materials and activities they need to make Jumpstart’s Read
for the Record a success in every community!
